"Argh! Is there no way eating is not SUCH A CHORE??! If there is a food injecting device or something straight to my tummy now wouldn't that be just great!"Is it me, or is everyone now so concerned about eating their meals FAST, I mean like REALLY zip-fully fast! Of course, that is the whole idea behind the fast food industry like McDonald's and such, with the drive thrus and set menus and so on. But to push it to more extreme extent as to make fast food even faster??
Yes, time is indeed money. People are rushing here there and everywhere that they don't have proper sit-down meals anymore. People want to have convenience, eat on the go, and if possible spend as little time as possible eating so they would rush to their next meeting or pick up the kids from French lessons. Will we see an extinction of proper full service and fine dining restaurants in the (near) future?
Fast food companies, or even any food company or restaurant at that are always finding ways to make their processes even more efficient (i.e. really really cutting short the time it takes between order-taking til the product reaches the customer). Time is essence once again, especially God forbid(!), when it's their beloved customers' time. Also, some are using the latest in food technologies like food vending machines and kiosks, online/wireless/touchscreen/ bluetooth/credit/debit ordering and paying methods and incorporating sophisticated restaurant planning and management softwares in their processes.
So what is the fast food trend for the future? How else do you make fast food even more faster? How about these ideas below... Check them out, they are innovative, new and some might not make sense, but hey, new things take time getting used to rite!? So watch, read below and be inspired!
Robot Restaurants: Standardized & Quick Servicing!

How about incorporating robots in restaurants? No errors, no grumpy unfriendly waiters, and prompt standard service quality is achievable each time! The Twendy-one robot shown here was designed by robotics researchers at Waseda University to have human-sized four-fingered hands cabable of picking up and holding delicate objects without crushing them.
Vending Machine Everything!

That's right, instantize any and every food item or meals! Rice, noodles, burgers (as shown), steaks, pizza, anything and everything! Get your meals from anywhere, no annoying waiters! Even better have a restaurant *dedicated* to vending machines! Yes, a food outlet with nothing but instant foods (oh, and cashless system too, no irritating coins to handle please!)
No Time to Sit Down and Eat Pizza? Get Pizza in a CONE!
The answer to single-slice drive-through pizza? Pizza cones! It's pizza dough shaped into an ice cream cone, and filled with your favorite combination of cheese, sauce and toppings. Crispy Cones hasn't quite yet launched, but is expected to open a store in Los Angeles this Fall. Konopizza is already up and running, and doing well, but not in the USA. They've just opened up stores this Summer in Indonesia, Kuwait, Spain, Greece, and New Zealand.
For those SO LAZY to even Eat a Fast Food Meal!
Feedbags, yes FEEDBAGS to strap on your face so you can have all your favourite fast foods without even using your hands! It will CHANGE how the world eats in the future! Eat on the go , have hot steamy food in your face right now!
I can't stop laughing at this, and if you haven't already figured out, this is a piece of parody news made by The Onion. But still, a part of me wonders if this *is* going to happen in the future....

Isn't the whole point of technology making life easier for us?
I once read this science article which suggested that humans of the future (circa 3000)would undergo severe forms of muscle atrophy compared to people from this century, thanks to technology taking over most daily tasks, even mundane ones.
But one thing I would like to point out is how people perceive technology as something new that will make life easier. It's probably just a matter of time before someone makes electric scissors (for all we know, it's already out on the market :P). People will always try to find the easier way out of something, perhaps to the extent that even jogging would one day be simplified by just sitting at home, for the sake of convenience and leisure (time-saving becomes one of the most oft-used reasons).
While the points here can be categorized as somewhat extreme, jocular even, there is no joke - it can happen.
Perhaps what we should do right now is limit the advances of technology before it harms us. :D
Don't take me wrong. I'm all up for technological advances. I enjoy Google just as much as the guy in the next cubicle does but I personally think that that some of these ideas are a bit ridiculous. The Wright brothers were considered crazy, I just think technological advances should be regulated.
That, and I don't want to enjoy budu in a capsule :D
i bet you're liking the feedbag idea though huh! lol!
Well... even if only to watch women break the gender barrier and 'start eating like a horse', then my answer is a big YES. :D
